You can also customize the cleaning mode of your robot allowing you to choose which cleaning method to use, namely vacuum or mop depending on the size of the room and your preferences. Certain models are able to perform both jobs at once offering the best automatic vacuum of both worlds in a single machine. Some models are able to alter the water levels based on the type of floor material and apply more pressure to tiles and less pressure to hardwood floors.

It's a great idea run a map without cleaning the floor, to make the robot more accustomed to its surroundings. Make sure you remove all cords and strings from the floor prior to cleaning.
