World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will gain an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is used (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of an item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after an update.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant risk that the item level upgrade may be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible to level 15.

You will often find in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs as well as some rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

The use of a Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item upgrader mod. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When the player improves the equipment they have it is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a problem in that it could cause the item upgrade to become more expensive if you don't require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times which increases their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides buffs when the player is repeatedly in or exits water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert back to its original state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to the value of the base item. For example, a common Item Upgrader mod might have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different upgrade ingredients.
