It also doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of the room.
It's still a good deal, especially if your office or home has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and can work when you're at work or going to school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on well and aren't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad to a dry one in seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient at taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying dustbin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, although it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

It can even clean the floor after it vacuums it, something we've not seen on other robot vacuum/mop combinations.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
The robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular look that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy models from the competitors. It is one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also its smartest. It features advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads on its own).
It's also the only robot vacuum/mop to score an absolute 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can completely self-refill and empty its base station and it has an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.
Like other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, offering a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud which could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or in the evening as you try to sleep.
It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing to live with a bit more noise and a little more cost this is a capable two-in-one that should please almost everyone.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It has a range of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, as well as washes and drys the mop pads.
The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to create floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors.
