The Mamas & Papas Coxley
Our overall winner The Coxley is packed with features that reflect an exquisitely hand-crafted look. It has three adjustable cot base heights, and can be converted into a toddler bed, so will see your child through the first four years. Some cots to tots can be extended for 10 years or more by using expansion packs. It's worth keeping an eye out for these since they can be cheaper than buying a new cot and mattress later on.
The Coxley is a fantastic choice for cot beds. It's easy to assemble and well-made, and looks stunning in any nursery. It is more expensive than other options and requires a standard-sized mattress, which you will need to purchase separately. It's still worth checking this out, though, as we believe it's worth the cost for a long-lasting design that looks extremely sturdy.

Our tester found this cot to be the most effective out of all the cots to tots we tested in terms of design and ease of assembly, with an Allen key included so you can get to work straight from the start. She also praised its strong construction and luxurious feel as it felt like an "real piece of investment" and also a stylish accessory to any nursery.
It's a little more expensive than the other cot beds we looked at however it's an affordable option that's worth the extra price for its quality and durability. The sleigh design is striking and will make any room where your baby's centre of the attention! The useful extras, such as an adorable drawer and teething rails can also cut down on the cost of purchasing separate furniture pieces if you're on a tight budget. However, we recommend buying an oval mattress rather than one of the standard sizes to avoid overstretching the slats and possibly cause discomfort for your baby. Our test subject had no problems with the cot and deemed it an excellent purchase.
The La Redoute Willox
This cot bed is absolute luxurious. It is constructed of solid slats of plywood and birch, and is built to last. It has an ethereal French style. It complies with French safety standards too and you can rest assured that your little one will be safe and sound. It is available in two stunning colours grey-green and off-white.
Our testers found it easy to assemble and thought it was the most luxurious look cot we've seen in our round-up. It's expensive, particularly since you have to buy the mattress separately. If you're looking to save money, there are cheaper options available.
The Great Little Trading Company Little Wren Cot Bed
This crib bed is a fantastic choice if you are seeking additional features. It comes with a handy under-bed storage area and teething rails. Plus, you can adjust the height of the base through three different settings so that your child won't be forced to climb out when they're older.
This cot's only drawback is that it requires a mattress separately that can increase the cost even higher than other models we looked at. The beautiful design as well as the ease of assembly and the ability to grow with your child are all attractive and make this cot well worth the investment. Our test participants loved this cot and thought it would be a beautiful addition to any nursery.
The John Lewis Elementary
The John Lewis Elementary is a good choice for parents wanting a stylish, modern-looking frame that will endure the test of time. It comes with teething rails and a drawer that slides neatly beneath so that you don't lose valuable floor space.
You'll need to buy an additional mattress if you want to use this cot bed. So, make sure you budget your money accordingly. A high-quality mattress can be purchased for less than PS100. It's not an enormous expense. It might be difficult to find a mattress that is suitable for the oval shape of the cot however, there are many kinds that are suitable for.
A lot of parents choose cot beds because they are great value and offer your child an enjoyable place to sleep. They're generally suitable from birth until your child is about four years old, but some can be converted into toddler beds with the purchase of an extension kit. There are several of them on our list if you're looking for a cot that will last for a longer time.
The Wooden Cotbed
One of our favourite cot beds, this beautiful solid-wood model is well constructed and stylish. It comes with a variety of additional features, including a drawer under the bed and three levels of base that can be adjusted. The cot can be used until the age of four (though most will need to be converted to a toddler bed with the conversion kit, which is sold separately).
A teddy bear canopy and removable rails for teething are included. The cot bed was simple to put together for our tester. The pieces were clearly marked and well-packed. It's also a bit smaller when compared to other cots we looked at, making it a good option for smaller spaces.
It is not cheap at PS599 with the mattress included. However, it is an investment piece and you can use it for more than one baby. It's beautiful in natural wood, but you can also purchase it in three Scandi-inspired colors. It can easily be converted into a toddler bed (leaving the three sides in place to ensure safety) and it can be converted into a daybed or sofa when your child is ready to let go of the bars.
It's a great choice for parents looking for a versatile sleep solution that will last as long as is possible. our parent tester Becki says her Boori cot has been used by three children, so it does stand the test of time. It has a lovely traditional design that will fit the majority of homes, and is made from sustainable sources of Australian Araucaria and New Zealand Radiata wood. The cot includes a number of useful accessories including a teddy bear canopy and teething rails, plus there's the option of buying a reflux wedge to add comfort for children.
