10 Unexpected Item Upgrade Tips
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades to gear increase its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations that are applied.
For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb ability in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more marketable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you roll a purchased item like a weapon, armor or ring. This allows you to swap the item for one similar item level upgrade, with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. They don't preserve the original level of the item, and any resources wasted aren't rewarded.
The survivors can acquire reroll tokens via a variety of methods, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in crates and chests or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of the equipment that could include increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.
Players can roll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage caused by melee and weapons, while spell power boosts mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a better quality, with the requirement of an upgraded reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item level upgrade, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers placed on Action spaces The reroll marker is left on the spot until the next successful result is to be rerolled. This allows you to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. Once they're opened they will display a complete description and an icon for the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of coins.
This means that you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This affects the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop offers to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These stones are special stones that boost the level of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. These stones can also be purchased by players who complete daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.
After deciding on the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the requirements are satisfied, the user can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not affect the item's longevity. The system is a great way for players who wish to gain an advantage in battle but don't want to spend a lot of money. Additionally, players can transfer the experience and the progress of an upgraded item onto a new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are many methods to get them. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally players can also cut down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets you increase the effectiveness of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It is achieved by the combination of an item upgrader kit with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will use up the upgrade materials and grant the item a higher level, granting the item a boost in that area. This process can continue until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be added to more than one item at the same time. Furthermore, each upgrade component will require a particular amount of items to be applied, as well as an appropriate level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add items to be upgraded. On the right side, previews show what the gear will look like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow once the player has enough materials will start the upgrading process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will be increased by a small percentage. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item has reached its maximum level, its upgrades will no longer be available to it. Likewise, once an item is on the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will have discounted prices.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to provide an extra effect or attribute benefit while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs that can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements
Upgrades to items allow players to boost the stats of certain armors and weapons they already have. The requirements to upgrade an item differ based on the item type but generally, you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
Upgrades to items can be used to make sets and weapons for added effects or a higher quality item. The upgrades can be acquired from a variety of sources within the game, including through crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors, looted from bosses and raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade items component is placed in an item it isn't able to be removed or changed without restriction, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped without restriction.
Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components include additional modifiers that can improve the item's stats.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun", for instance, increases defense base and gives an additional 20% chance to block. In addition the dps enhancement "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Certain items benefit from being upgraded less because of their improved stats and more because it allows players to gain the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item upgrader. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and could be worth 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.
If you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item, the game will display a pop-up window that shows the requirements required for that item. These include the item type (either Armor or Weapon) and the tier of that item and the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
If you've fulfilled the requirements for upgrading The game will then place the item in your inventory, and the progress bar will be updated to show how close to completing it. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
