They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our first option. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to getting stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.
Still, it's very good for those who want to save money on an iRobot Roomba and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's also extremely quiet and operates when you're at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has an auto-emptying dock, however. And, if you need to, you can switch the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.

It is able to clean floors even after it has vacuumed. This is something we haven't seen before on other robotic vacuum/mop combos.
3. IRobot Roomba X40
With a sleek circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba than the competition's compact models this robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most appealing looking in our evaluations. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It features advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads on its own).
It's also the only robot vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is thanks to a mix of modern sensors, including a restructured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.
As with other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, with an easy mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's loud which could be a problem if you run it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to sleep.
It's also a bit expensive however, not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally powerful and more attractive. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient, but it's more expensive and make more noise.
