10 Top Mobile Apps For Robot Vacuum And Mop
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling different types of floors. Select models that allow users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum flooring in the dining area, kitchen and bathrooms and also a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was capable of driving close to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However, it had some difficulty navigating down the stairs in one go. The S1 performed well in cleaning robot mop and vacuum hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or rug.
The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before it needs to be cleaned, although this can vary based the amount you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working well. In order to do this, you'll have to rinse out the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning needs. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just moving the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned and dried at the base station, if needed.
The robot is simple to setup and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the procedure. It includes a rechargeable hand vacuum to reach those areas the robot can't reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled as needed. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are decent, but it can be stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good and include a pair of mop pads that lift and scrub the floor, rather than just drag the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation as needed. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-free maintenance, making it a clear contender for our best robot vacuum that mops mop and robot vacuums that mop vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests with ease while avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that run along baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble that can navigate narrow spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can easily move from one room to another without reversing direction, which is a handy feature for homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than some competitors However, it tends to leave a large distance around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
Its app has a streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings, and view 3-D and 2D maps. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for live video surveillance. But, you'll require a reliable internet connection to use it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always get every last piece of dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once a week, especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop designed to accomplish exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your home WiFI network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, such as the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by removing mopping and using a cheaper plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to clean your floors, the Q5 still has some of the best robot vacuum that mops mopping and vacuum performance we've seen on a robot in this price range. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It has a smart app which allows you to schedule cleanings and set the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested to not have problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it did not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we've tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home. This will allow it to enter corners and tight spaces that other vacuums can't reach. It also is able to collect more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and boost suction if necessary. You can also mark off areas you would like the robot cleaner with mop to avoid using the app.
