The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. Some models have superior mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through a clean.

It is very fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or along baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping purposes, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.

The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach a wide range of surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the smell.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

The device has a expensive price tag, but it has a variety of advanced features. It is important to remember, however, that the device incurs recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three months.

The robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an power button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum cleaner vacuum and mop which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that has a microfiber pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its precise map of your floorplan, which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to protect certain areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture the majority of hair that our cats shed, and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were lovely jingles that inform you that it was beginning and working towards its goal.

The app was too basic and you had to switch the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't keep multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot vacuums that Mop that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock, which doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxy models.
