It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot vacuum that mops to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
