1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've tested. They are equipped with motors that are top-of-the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the most powerful model) they utilize smart mapping to produce precise floorplans that avoid obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also have carpet boost which boosts the robot's power when it spots an abundance of dirt on the carpet in order to get it clean quickly.
Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our floor tests that test for bare floors They're also particularly adept at cleaning pet hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. For one, the Q5's navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to become entangled in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of an area.
It's still a good deal particularly if your office or home has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and can work while you're at work or at school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on for long and don't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does have self-emptying docks, however. If you're required to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with one that is wet in just a few seconds.

However, it's not equipped with the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During testing, X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum and mop vacuum/mop to clean an entire home with just 66 percent of its battery remaining. It also did a great job cleaning a range of floors and rooms with various flooring types, such as certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was superb and it was able to avoid fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles cables.
It's a little more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, an onboard dustbin that automatically emptys into its base, and also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
